wiLLBe is a digital savings brand operated by Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB), one of the largest and longest-established banks in Liechtenstein. Its history dates back to 1861. The wiLLBe platform focuses on modern, app-based savings and investment solutions for retail customers across selected European markets.
Its offering includes flexible savings accounts and investment products designed for customers who value digital access, transparency, and a straightforward user experience. By combining LLB's financial strength with a modern digital interface, wiLLBe positions itself as a tech-driven alternative to traditional savings banks.
Deposits held with wiLLBe are protected under the Liechtenstein deposit guarantee scheme, which safeguards eligible deposits up to 100,000 Swiss Francs (100,000-110,000 euros, depending on the exchange rate) per depositor and per bank. Liechtenstein benefits from a firm sovereign credit profile (AAA rating), closely aligned with Switzerland and supported by a stable financial system.
As wiLLBe operates under the umbrella of Liechtensteinische Landesbank, customers additionally benefit from the bank’s solid capitalisation and long-standing reputation.
The "Festgeld" at wiLLBe is managed via the wiLLBe mobile app (available for iOS and Android) and the web-based client portal. These tools allow customers to view balances, track interest accrual, and transfer funds to and from the linked reference account.
The wiLLBe registration process, online banking, and mobile application are available in German and English. Customer support can be reached via email and phone.
The Festgeld with wiLLBe can be opened entirely online via the wiLLBe website or mobile app. Applicants must generally be at least 18 years old and reside in either Germany, Austria, Switzerland, or Liechtenstein. They also need a valid mobile phone number and email address. Moreover, a current account with an IBAN is required as the reference account for funding and withdrawals.
As part of the onboarding process for the willBe fixed-term deposit, customers must complete digital identity verification. You need to scan your ID or passport and take a photo of yourself using your mobile phone.
