pbb direkt is the direct banking arm of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank (pbb), specialising in property finance and corporate lending. pbb direkt offers selected deposit products and savings accounts to retail customers, leveraging the pbb group’s balance-sheet strength and mortgage-backed funding model.
Deposits with pbb direkt are protected by German deposit protection (Entschädigungseinrichtung deutscher Banken) up to 100,000 Euro. Germany’s credit rating is AAA, the highest possible.
pbb direkt services are only available in German. The FestgeldPLUS can be managed via the web interface. There is no dedicated mobile app, except for TAN generation, which ensures secure money transfers. You can open a FestgeldPLUS or other accounts by pbb direkt online. Identification is required via VideoIdent or PostIdent. Applicants for a pbb direkt fixed-term deposit must reside in Germany. For payouts from your FestgeldPLUS, you require a current account with a valid German IBAN. Minors can only open an account with their parent/guardian's support.
